Ideal home is a retired female that is home most of the time.
Zimmer is the sweetest little boy. He came to rescue as an owner surrender and he hasn't had an easy life. He is easily startled but is getting better. He is very loving to his chosen person and will bark at anyone in the house as he feels he's protecting them. He gets along with other dogs, but will do best as an only dog. He is excited when his human comes home, but he doesn't follow you around. He's very uneasy on hard surface flooring, but does well on carpet. He will freeze on hardwood or tile, but does fine on the wooden deck outside...what can I say, he's a little mystery just waiting for someone to invest the time and attention he desperately needs. Poor Zimmer's owner passed away and his spouse kept him for several years, but those weren't great for him. He wasn't loved and nurtured when he needed it most, but he's making progress. I keep belly wraps on him and he does just fine. I have several dogs of my own and I feel like if he had someone's full attention, he will get the hang of potty training because he's so smart. He sleeps in bed with us and our dogs and loves cuddling on the couch. He's a precious little boy that just needs some extra love and patience. If you feel that Zimmer is the little boy for you, he will bring you lots of laughter and joy. He is a sweet dog and will make a loving pet.

Meet Teddy! Located in St. Louis but loves car rides!

Teddy is a 5-month-old Cavapoo/Terrier mix who is looking for a loving forever home. Through no fault of his own, Teddy's owner experienced medical issues and is no longer able to care for him.

This sweet little guy is full of love, curiosity, and puppy charm. Teddy is currently learning all the important puppy basics and is in the process of mastering his house-training skills. Like any young puppy, he will need a family that is patient, consistent, and willing to continue his training as he grows.

🐾 Meet Maddox 🐾 in St. Louis!

Sometimes the sweetest souls just need a second chance.

Maddox is a 7-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who is searching for a family to call his own. This handsome boy is neutered, fully house-trained, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. He's reached that wonderful age where he knows the house rules and is ready to settle into a life filled with love and companionship.

Maddox gets along well with small female dogs, but he would prefer not to share his home with male dogs. He can be a little unsure around men when he first meets them, so he'll need a family willing to give him the time and patience he deserves to feel safe and comfortable.
