Introducing Kato 🐾💖
Kato is being fostered in Granville, Ohio

Kato is a 7-year-old Standard Schnauzer with a heart as big as his impressive beard. Handsome, smart, and incredibly lovable, he's the kind of dog who makes everyone fall in love with him.

His favorite things in life? Fetch. Tug-of-war. Scritches. More fetch. And did we mention fetch? If you're looking for a dog who's always ready for a game, Kato is your guy.

Kato is a sweet, affectionate boy who simply wants a family to love him. He has formed a special bond with his foster dad, but he's equally happy hanging out in his foster mom's office throughout the workday, content just being near his people.

This gentleman has wonderful manners:

Rides calmly in the car
Loves meeting new people, including the staff at the vet's office
Patiently sits for his daily eye medication and happily accepts his treat afterward
Walks into the shower like it was his idea all along and waits politely to be dried off before celebrating with zoomies
Is learning to enjoy the finer things in life, like couches, sleeping in bed with his foster parents, and finding the perfect spot in front of a fan

Kato has some mild stiffness in his hip and shoulder that is well-managed with a joint supplement, and it doesn't stop him from enjoying his daily activities.

One of his most charming tricks? He's not a jumper, but if you ask, he'll stand on his hind legs and give you a gentle "hug" with his front paws.

What Kind of Home Is Kato Looking For?
Kato spent the first seven years of his life as an only dog. Because of this, any introductions to resident dogs should be made slowly, calmly, and on neutral ground. He may be happiest as the center of someone's world, but with proper introductions, potential adopters can explore what works best for him.

Meet Gus & Hank — A Bond Like No Other ❤️

Gus and Hank are truly one of the most unusual and deeply bonded pairs I’ve ever had the privilege of caring for. These two boys are inseparable, and their connection is something incredibly special. 🐾

Gus is a 7-year-old Isabella Dachshund, and Hank is a 7-year-old salt-and-pepper Schnauzer. Both boys are breeder releases, and through everything they’ve experienced, they have found comfort and security in one another.

They sleep together, go everywhere together, and simply don’t want to be apart. I have never seen two dogs so completely bonded. ❤️

Hank is working on his potty-training skills. He will go outside on a leash and potty outdoors, although he still occasionally marks in the house. He is learning, and we’re giving him the patience and consistency he needs.

Gus is still very frightened of going outside on a leash. He needs someone who will give him time, patience, and lots of encouragement as he slowly builds his confidence.

The good news is that both boys are fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on their heartworm prevention. They are healthy, loved, and ready to begin the next chapter of their lives. 🏡

Now they just need the right person to see how incredibly special they are.

If you are that person, Gus and Hank will gladly embrace you. They don't need much — just love, patience, security, and most importantly, each other. They have spent their lives together, and our greatest wish is that they get to live the rest of their lives together, too. ❤️🐾
