Introducing....Diesel!

Diesel is a sweet, affectionate Frenchie with puppy-like energy and a big personality. He loves people and wants to be part of everything! He is around 2 years old. Diesel is smart and a quick learner!

He does well around other dogs when meeting them or passing them on walks. He is still learning boundaries during play and can become persistent, sometimes not recognizing when another dog has had enough and needs space. For this reason, an only-dog home is recommended.

Diesel was recently neutered, and it may take some time for his hormones to fully settle. He needs good-quality food, daily walks when weather permits, plenty of toys, mental stimulation, and care to prevent overheating due to his flat muzzle.

👑🐾 ALL RISE! HIS ROYAL SCHNAUZERNESS HAS ARRIVED! 🐾👑

Meet Cato, the handsome, distinguished gentleman who has recently joined Almost Home Schnauzer Rescue!

Cato came to us from the Humane Society after his family surrendered him because new jobs and busy schedules left them without enough time to give this boy the attention he deserved.

And let us tell you… Cato may have lost his home, but he certainly hasn't lost his royal attitude! 😂👑

This 7-year-old Standard Schnauzer is handsome, smart, gorgeous, and so distinguished that he looks like he should be sitting on a velvet throne instead of waiting for his forever family! He has the kind of face that makes you think he probably has a royal portrait hanging somewhere. 😂

But don't let that regal exterior fool you. Cato is one of the sweetest Schnauzer boys we've ever met. ❤️ He is a loving, good boy who just wants someone to love him and give him the forever home he deserves.

Cato comes as a pretty perfect package:

👑 Neutered
👑 Fully vaccinated
👑 Heartworm negative
👑 On heartworm and flea/tick preventatives
👑 Microchipped

Cato can be a little reactive toward other dogs, so he will need slow, proper introductions. We believe that with patience and time, he can do very well.

Cato also has chronic dry eye, which means he will need eye drops for the rest of his life. It's a small bit of extra care for a boy who has so much love to give. ❤️

💕 Meet Baylee! 💕
Sweet Baylee is a 1½-year-old Schnauzer/Poodle mix who weighs 30 pounds, which is a healthy weight for her size and age.
Baylee just came into foster care yesterday, and she is already doing incredibly well! She is a very sweet, gentle, and shy girl who is still learning that she is safe and loved. ❤️
Baylee appears to be potty trained, with no accidents in the house so far. She is a little tentative about going into unfamiliar buildings and seems nervous about riding in the car, wanting to get back out right away. But these are all things we will patiently work through with her. She’s only just beginning her journey, and we know her confidence will grow with time, patience, and love.
Baylee is up to date on her vaccines, heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention. She will be spayed and microchipped this Thursday, and then she will be ready to find her forever home. 🐾
Baylee is such a sweet young girl, and she deserves a family who will give her the time and patience she needs to blossom. Once she realizes she’s home, we know her sweet personality will shine! 💗

Meet Gus & Hank — A Bond Like No Other ❤️

Gus and Hank are truly one of the most unusual and deeply bonded pairs I’ve ever had the privilege of caring for. These two boys are inseparable, and their connection is something incredibly special. 🐾

Gus is a 7-year-old Isabella Dachshund, and Hank is a 7-year-old salt-and-pepper Schnauzer. Both boys are breeder releases, and through everything they’ve experienced, they have found comfort and security in one another.

They sleep together, go everywhere together, and simply don’t want to be apart. I have never seen two dogs so completely bonded. ❤️

Hank is working on his potty-training skills. He will go outside on a leash and potty outdoors, although he still occasionally marks in the house. He is learning, and we’re giving him the patience and consistency he needs.

Gus is still very frightened of going outside on a leash. He needs someone who will give him time, patience, and lots of encouragement as he slowly builds his confidence.

The good news is that both boys are fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on their heartworm prevention. They are healthy, loved, and ready to begin the next chapter of their lives. 🏡

Now they just need the right person to see how incredibly special they are.

If you are that person, Gus and Hank will gladly embrace you. They don't need much — just love, patience, security, and most importantly, each other. They have spent their lives together, and our greatest wish is that they get to live the rest of their lives together, too. ❤️🐾

Gus and Hank are a package deal. Where one goes, the other goes.
