Holy Shih Tzu, what is this? These little floofs are not Schnauzers, we Shih Tzu you not, but they're cute and fluffy, and are looking for their forever home. Everyone, meet Bonnie & Clyde, a bonded pair!
These two were found on the streets of Indy, and while they had quite an adventure out there, they told us that they highly prefer to be indoor pooches, where it's nice and cool. They're a little unsure of others, so they will need a home with no small kids, and no other dogs. They just want to chill and get all the treats!
Bonnie & Clyde are currently being fostered in the Indianapolis area. If you're interested in learning more about them, please fill out an adoption application at the link below. If you've already applied and have been waiting for someone like him, please send the folks at Almost Home Schnauzer Rescue a private message to let them know.

Hello everyone, my name is Chance! I'm a 5-year old male, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is looking to "sing" my way into your heart! Of course, my beautiful hazel eyes might shine their way into your heart as well to make you incredibly smitten by my love.
I'm a vibrant young boy who comes from a single dog home, but I've adapted wonderfully to being with a pack; I definitely know how to steal treats from the others if they aren't watching! My favorite place to sleep is on a pillow next to your head or as close as I can be to you - I'm a loving boy who always wants to be near my human!
Foster mom notes:
Chance has the cutest conversations with me and my pack which starts with little grumbles in the morning or singing along my side in the kitchen when I’m making his dinner. He sure loves to carry on conversations with the sweetest sounds I have ever heard a Schnauzer make! He dances for treats or moves his mouth and tongue as if he’s imagining the sweet taste of that scrumptious morsel he’s about to devour! Just make sure you tell him to be “easy” when taking a treat because he’s so excited that he might accidentally get your finger when grabbing his treat. Chance has the most adorable personality to add to his forever home but, like all Schnauzers, he can be jealous and very protective of his human so he may not do well with young children.
Chance is currently being fostered in the Indianapolis area and is ready to go to his furever home. If you're interested in learning more about him, please fill out an adoption application at the link below. If you've already applied and have been waiting for someone like him, please send the folks at Almost Home Schnauzer Rescue a private message to let them know.

Hi everyone! Please allow me to introduce myself... ahem... my name is Chauncey. I'm a middle-aged male Miniature Schnauzer mix, and I'm ready to go home! I'm so much fun and am a quite good-looking chap if I do say so myself. I'm currently being fostered in the Indianapolis area.
My foster mom has learned all about me over the past few weeks and she has some information that she'd like to share, to help in locating my new furever home:
✔️ Fenced yard
✔️ Dog playmate (gets along great with other dogs, and cats too!)
✔️ Leash walks, park outings
✔️ Someone to play fetch with daily!
✔️ Human that works from home, or can come home mid-day to let him out, or retired (basically someone to let him out often)
Chauncey has a great disposition and is a happy guy. He is not a cuddly lap dog, but he absolutely loves to be next to his people all the time; and loves to run and play with other dogs. Not child tested.
He came to us from an apartment situation where he was left alone inside for long hours. He developed anxiety from not getting enough activity, he was obsessively licking his paws and obsessively drinking water and urinating indoors. His people did not have time for him, and wanted a better life for him.
The vet we took him to did blood and urine tests and found no major health issues. We decided the course of action was to see how the change in environment helps his anxiety, an active home and going outside often has shown great improvements.
Since he came into our foster home, he has been a playful and happy guy. He still licks his paws but not nearly as bad, and can easily be redirected, with chew bones, toys, and bonding activities. He LOVES toys and balls!
Chauncey has been with us for about a month, and hasn’t had any accidents in the house in the last two weeks. He is not left alone longer than 4 or 5 hours at a time. If you work away from home, he needs a dog companion to hang out with, and someone to let him out in the middle of the day.
He is a little older so he knows how to chillax!!! He would love a home where he can hang out on the couch with his forever family. He sleeps through the night in a dog bed next to the human bed at the fosters. He does not like being in a crate but we have kept him in a tiled room w/ pee pads with a baby gate when we leave the house, but he doesn’t seem to need that anymore.
Chauncey's records say he is 10-11 years old based on an age estimate that was given when he was found as a stray back in 2015. Based on his behavior though, we're pretty sure he is younger. He might have been closer to 2 years when they found him, which would make him about 8-9 years old now. He is very active and playful! You should see him run after a ball, bunny-hopping half the way.
Chauncey is a sweet older gentleman that deserves a forever home to live out his final years. No more boomerang shelter experiences for him!
Weight approx. 25 lbs

Apologies to the few folks that received a comment reply from a "Robert Matt" to PM him for details. He is not associated with our rescue and has been blocked from this page. Thanks Bobby for wasting what little time we have to remain focused on rescue.

Hello everyone, my name is Fritz! I'm a 3y male Miniature Schnoodle (although, I think I'm more Schn than oodle). 😄 I'm in need of a new home where I can have a little more socialization than what I have now. You see, I live with one person here in Indiana, and I've grown pretty attached to her. In fact, I'm so attached, I don't really like for anyone else to come into the fold. I don't go all demon-dog on them, but I do let them know they are not welcome. I think I would be much happier if I had a home where there was more going on than "just the two of us". 🎼
Hey there, Brian here at AHSR... boiling it down, we have Fritz here who needs a new environment. His new family must have a bit of patience and be willing to work with him on socialization and trust. His whole world has been "him and his person" since he was a pup and he gets a bit cranky when anything disrupts that. Fritz is a good boy, funny and quirky, fully vetted, and ready for his new home, but understand that he will not come in and be comfortable right away. It will take a bit of time to unwind his notion of normal and to teach him how to behave in social situations.
If you are interested in learning more about Fritz, please fill out an adoption application at ahsr.ngo/application. If you've already filled one out and are on our significantly-long waiting list, please drop us a PM. ...
Awwwww. I have a female schnauzer who has now been home alone with us working so much. I am very much considering getting him ❤️
They even kind of look alike
Looks just like my boy named Cash. Boy do I wish I had my own place!
Such a cutie!!!! ❣️
Would a home with another Schnoodle and a Sheltie be acceptable?
